Children became the reporters

Inculcating writing skills in Children is a good habit which should be nurtured for their promising future. The effort of its kind has been taken place in the school of Zilla parishat high school,Nandigama padu,a tiny village located in the district of Khammam,Telangana. They have adopted a different path to create skills in the pupil. The students of class eighth conglomerated as a team to bring out a magazine for their school. That's within the limits of their existing resources and writing skills. We should remember that It's not a corporate school .Purely a state government school with the enrollment of the children who hailed from almost a remote area of the Khammam district. They established a magazine "Bala vani"(The voice of children) and they keep contributing several news articles regarding their village and surrounding places.News items like trouble shooting of Tap water problem in their village, allocation of funds for their school building, the plights of farmers out of varied reasons and other things high lighted in this issue.

Apart from that tit bits, jokes, proverbs were also contributed by them. All it makes a volume of lovable reading altogether.Today, it is inaugurated  by the head master of the school. In this issue, there was a place given for readers to write their views. Thus children became a real time news reporters for a magazine. The editorial team comprised of  B.Sirisha,P.Ramya,G.Soumya,K.Sagar,A.Sai kumar,G.Ramesh, all these are of class eighth. The master brain behind this unique project is Mr.N.Madhusudan Rao,working as a Hindi teacher in the school. He told us that the projects of its kind would stir up the innate talents of the kids.

  1. This is such a wonderful work by the children. They should be motivated and encouraged right from the tender age. Felt good reading about it. :)
